The heritage-listed Masonic Memorial Centre at 311 Ann Street Brisbane is the stately headquarters of the Queensland freemasons and a fine example of Classical Revival architecture.

The Grand Hall of the Masonic Memorial Centre houses an impressive organ covered by an ornamental plaster screen. The master craftsmen at McMillan Heritage Plastering were enlisted to work on this ornamental screen in 2019 to restabilise loose plaster rosettes and to restore missing decorative elements. This process involved making silicon box moulds from original intact decorative reliefs in order to create new plaster casts that could then be used to restore missing sections of the screen. The new casts were pinned in place using tie wire, traditional Plaster of Paris and hessian scrim.
